Located in Ann Arbor, Michigan, our faith-based, accredited kindergarten through 12th-grade school serves a racially, ethnically, and linguistically diverse student body. Seventy-two percent (72%) of our students have roots in the Middle East or North Africa.

- To provide students opportunities to become responsible world citizens by instilling the importance of social activism, citizenship, and community service.

Community Service
Every MIA student learns the importance of being a strong community member and citizen. As part of the graduation requirements, each student must perform a minimum of 200 community service hours. Half of those hours must be service in a non-muslim environment. Students should see their academic advisor for the specific service guidelines.
Our Diverse School Community
MIA houses a racially, ethnically, and linguistically diverse student body. Seventy-two percent (72%) of students have roots in the Middle East or North Africa. The vast majority of our students and staff are bilingual or multilingual. While most of our school community’s first language is English, many have native or advanced proficiency in other languages, including different dialects of Arabic, Urdu, Somali, Pashto, Spanish, French, Turkish, Farsi, Uzbek, and Hebrew.
