Welcome to Michigan Islamic Academy! We’re glad you have decided to apply to our school. An MIA education will serve your family well during these formative years as students move on to higher institutions of learning and throughout their entire lives.

Open to All Students

Admission to Michigan Islamic Academy is open to all Pre-K through 12th-grade students and continues until we have filled all available spots. Priority in enrollment is as follows:

  • Students already enrolled at Michigan Islamic Academy
  • Children of MIA staff/faculty
  • Siblings of students already enrolled at Michigan Islamic Academy
  • Families who have been on the waitlist for two or more years

Classroom Supply Fee

Pre-K through fifth grade students do not need to bring basic classroom supplies to school at the beginning of the year. To help keep our tuition as low as possible while continuing to provide the best education for all MIA students, each elementary class will collect $40 per student to purchase all necessary supplies. At the beginning of the year, students in each class will receive uniform supplies labeled for their personal use. We will also use the classroom supply fee to purchase a monthly educational magazine for each student.

Personal & Other Items

Students should bring personal items such as water bottles. Pre-k will be provided with a nap sac to be used for nap time and parents will be charged a $20 fee to their facts account for it. Throughout the year, we may ask students to bring additional supplies for individual needs or special projects.

We Reserve the Right

MIA does not discriminate on the basis of race, age, sex, religion, disability, or national origin. Michigan Islamic Academy reserves the right to decline admission to students for the following reasons, which are not considered inclusive of all reasons justifying the denial of admission:

  • If a student requires special education instruction beyond the purview of our capability or capacity
  • If a student requires English as a Second Language beyond the purview of our capability or capacity
