All clubs meet at lunchtime unless otherwise indicated.

Additional Extracurricular Clubs
Students may participate in up to two clubs each school year. Since club offerings may change from year to year, be sure to check out this year’s list of clubs.
American Sign Language Club
ASL Club members learn the beautiful language of the deaf. Join us for dynamic and engaging experiences.
Computer Science Club
Students interested in computer science can set themselves apart in college applications by participating in this club. Learn programming through fun projects and competitions.
Health Club
Members educate themselves and others on healthy lifestyles. Activities include assembly presentations, food art and cooking competitions, motivational posters or mailings, and more.
MIA Newsletter Club
Be the first to know what’s happening at MIA, and hone your writing skills as you help prepare our school newsletters.
Model United Nations
Students learn about world issues, diplomacy, international relations, and the United Nations. Participation develops critical thinking, teamwork, speaking, debating, writing, and leadership skills. Members attend MUN conferences.
Muslim Inter-Scholastic Tournament
MIST gives students a platform to showcase their talents. Teams from area schools compete in activities ranging from sports to cooking to Islamic knowledge.
Peer-to-Peer
Members learn about depression and depressive illnesses and share this knowledge with peers to reduce stigma, raise awareness, and encourage self-helping.
Yearbook Club
Members help design and gather/take photos for the yearbook.
Social Media Club
This club provides a fun social media outlet for students. It’s “a way to interact even though online, with updates, tips, blogs, etc.” Members develop posts on topics that interest them and their peers.
STEAM
Do you love problem-solving? Are you interested in engineering, electricity, energy, and more? Together, club members delve into the STEAM subjects that interest them most.
Ultimate Frisbee
Did you know there are more than five million ultimate frisbee players in the United States? MIA club members have fun playing this non-contact game weekly at lunchtime.
