It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the Michigan Islamic Academy website. I am certain that, though it serves as only a brief introduction to the school, its curriculum, and its activities, it will give an idea of what the MIA is all about.

At MIA we take pride in being one of the pioneering Islamic schools in the country. It was over two decades ago that the founders of Michigan Islamic Academy decided to open a full-time Islamic school in the Ann Arbor area. Since that time, our goal has remained constant: to assist students in building their identity as young Muslims as well as to instill in them Islamic values that will enable them to be responsible citizens whose lives will benefit their communities and the world at large.

The MIA community is proud of its alumni who are now either graduated from or attending prestigious colleges and programs. The careers and achievements of our alumni are only one of the indicators of the excellent academic program that is offered at MIA. Another is the high average scores that our students make on standardized tests.
