We are so lucky to have MIA in Ann Arbor. A school in the States that is combining the high standard of teaching with the right teachings of Islam. The religious teachings was good from the beginning although now it became excellent with the devotion of the Principal and the staff to be good models of Muslims. But the scientific standard has improved tremendously during the last few years and I know very well that Sr. Nabeela by her wisdom, devotion and by choosing Sr. Fayzeh to be the vice principal and who works hard also. This really have done a lot to improve the standard of the scientific level. Most of the teachers are really devoted and some of them are just great examples of how the good real Muslim should be. This in addition to many improvements in the school, I was encouraged to keep my daughter in the school till she graduates from High school from MIA.
As a working professional couple, we enrolled our daughter at the MIA anticipating the benefits of a Muslim environment, to supplement the beliefs and values we try to cultivate at home. At the same time, we anticipated that the transition from her previous rigorous private Montessori education would mean a trade-off when it came to academic learning.
Three years later, we are thrilled at the quality of the school, teachers, and students, that have challenged her to perform at her peak academically, learn Arabic, memorize the Quran, and has grounded and informed her outlook with sound Islamic sensibilities. InshaAllah, this
gives her the perfect start to grow into a successful, well rounded and well-adjusted American Muslimah.
The strength of the school draws from what is a great mix - a hard working administration, caring teachers, a supportive PTSA, and a diverse
progressive Muslim community. The care shown the children, and the passion to teach that we all hope to see in our childrens schools is so evident
at the MIA, and we are very grateful indeed. Alhamdullilah!

Parents of an MIA 4th Grader
Grade 8 Parent:My son has had an excellent educational experience at MIA. He has secured solid friendships with fine Muslim peers, Inshallah, and he has developed very well academically. He has always enjoyed a good relationship with his teachers, who have known and cared for him
throughout the years. My sons studies at MIA have allowed him to develop a consciousness of who he is as a young Muslim. The small class size has allowed for excellent instruction.
Grade 6 Parent:My son has had a wonderful experience at MIA. He is secure in his
Islamic knowledge and has constructive relationships with Muslim peers. He is truly benefiting from the excellent instructors who work with him. May Allah swt reward them all.
